1990年，我8岁，整个村子里唯一有一台14寸的黑白电视机，每天晚上我都会拿着小板凳，去村头看电视，成了孩提时代快乐的记忆，整个村子的大人小孩劳累了一天都会拥挤在一块不大的操场，看新闻，看电视剧，看体育比赛。1990年，亚运会开幕式的那一天，整个学校的学生围在学校的小操场，瞅着那台小黑白电视机，第一次感觉居然和奥林匹克的距离是那么的近，第一次我的脑海里深深的懂得了“中国”两个字，每当电视机里传来国歌的声音，我知道，中国队肯定夺冠了。
1996年，我离开了故乡，那年我12岁，去离家乡300公里以外的地方上中学，在那个不大的城市里，我第一次见到彩色电视机，第一次在电视里看到红色的国旗伴随着国旗升起的样子，第一次在电视里看到天安门广场上升国旗的雄壮。1997年7月1日，我做为中学生代表参加了当地举行的迎香港回归升国旗仪式，第一次真正感觉到，当目送国旗升起的那一刻，我的鼻子有股酸劲，第一次面对国旗升起的时候，我流泪过。那一年，我第一次见到电脑，第一次听过这玩意居然能连接到任何一个地方，可以和很多人说话。那一年，所有的球迷都难以忘记悲惨的“十强赛”，那一年老榕写下了互联网上的传奇文章《大连金州不相信眼泪》，那一年，留下了很多……
2000年，我18岁，20世纪的最后一场奥运会在澳大利亚的悉尼举行，那一年，我第一次在电视机前认真地关注了所有的比赛，国旗在澳大利亚的悉尼上空升起了28次，每一个中国人落泪了28次，我依然记得2000年9月22日那一天，6次升起国旗的激动，那一刻，我真正的懂得了什么是爱国，那一年，我成年了，我整整18岁。2001年7月13日晚上，随着全中国12亿人的惊天一呼，整个地球随之一颤，“2008年，奥运会将在北京召开！”
2004年，我大学毕业，背起背包，远走他乡，开始了人生的真正旅程，那一年，我每天流连于网络，熟悉了论坛的灌水，在网上注册了一个至今还在用的ID：花里花外。随着雅典奥运会结束，交接到中国人手里的那一刻，我暗自发誓，2008年，我一定要去北京看奥运。
2007年的夏天，我丢下了在上海所有的一切，带着三件衣服，怀里揣着700块钱，独自一个人来到了向往已久的北京，下了火车的第一件事，就是在感受飘在天安门上空的红旗，我大呼：北京，我来了！
2008年，北京，全世界都注视着北京，奥运，距离倒计时即将100天，奥运，真的来了。我们每一个中国人，都能感受到祖国心脏的颤抖，每一天，做好自己的事，便是最大的爱国。奥运圣火虽然在国外遭到扰乱，但她即将完成在海外的使命，即将开始在中国大地上的传递，我们需要每一个人的激情，更需要每一个人的冷静！
